Alfa Bravo Alphabet is a free reference and translator for the NATO phonetic alphabet, built and maintained by one person (see the About page). By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site — nothing here requires a login or payment, so there's no obligation either way.
The phonetic translator and audio playback are provided for reference and educational purposes. While I try to keep the code words and pronunciations accurate to the official NATO/ICAO standard, I can't guarantee the tool is error-free or suitable for safety-critical use (for example, real aviation or emergency radio communication). Always defer to official training materials and your organization's procedures for anything operational.
The reference tables, history, and educational text on this site are freely available for personal use, study, and classroom teaching — feel free to print the reference cards, quote the material in a lesson, or link to any page. For commercial use (for example, including this content in a paid course, book, or training product), please get in touch first so we can sort out attribution.
Please don't scrape or republish the site's content wholesale as your own competing reference site. A credited excerpt or link back is always fine.
This site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. I do my best to keep information accurate and the tools working, but I make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alfa Bravo Alphabet and its creator are not liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of (or inability to use) this site, including reliance on any code word, pronunciation, or historical fact presented here.
This site links to and uses third-party services, including Google AdSense, Google Analytics, Google Fonts, and Formspree. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. See the Privacy Policy for details on what each service does.
These terms may be updated occasionally as the site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
